may 17 2016 Have you ever wanted to order a bucket of fried chicken without having to speak to a single human being? Now you can! KFC, in partnership with Chinese search engine giant Baidu, has just opened the world’s first human-free fast food restaurant in Shanghai, reports SoHu.

The intelligent robot concept store, Original+ (pronounced, “Original Plus”), looks unlike any KFC you’ve ever seen. The interior is designed in a traditional Chinese garden style with bamboo, flowers, and jade accents. Customers enter through a big circular doorway. Most remarkable, however, are the restaurant’s workers – small, pear-shaped robots named Du Mi, who take orders and process payments.

Du Mi’s employers claim they’re robotic cashiers are the first example of an artificial intelligence system at the front end of a fast food restaurant. A California-based company, Momentum Machines, has applied AI technology to create burgers since 2010, but these gaudy machines have been relegated to the kitchen, not to interact with customers.

Meanwhile, Du Mi are a customer’s first and only interaction with restaurant staff. As such, the bots are designed to be cordial and engaging, while ushering customers through their purchases.

Well, they do lol.

Why they haven't [as much, anyway] historically is another question, but I'm afraid it's the not answer you're looking for.

The superiority isn't to be found in race, but in culture. For whatever reason, some cultures are backwards; innovation isn't stressed or even stifled. Some cultures are barbaric, even today.

Innovation [even in terms of self-governance and democracy] has thrived in western culture but it has nothing to do with the race of its participants. Darwin [should have?] learned this early on, long before he wrote Origins of the Species, when they captured some 'savages' from the tip of South America and brought them home aboard the HMS Beagle. After spending some years in England exposed to western culture, they ceased to be savages and behaved like everyone else did. Darwin was surprised by this.

Nonetheless, Darwin's racist assumptions persisted because evolution practically demands it. He developed that idea in The Descent of Man whereas Origins dealt with the effects of natural selection on lower animals. Darwin held that the 'savage' races would be wholly supplanted by the 'more evolved' races. If over time, man evolved to a higher state, there neccessarily existed humans in an inferior state.

Hence, the reason the term 'Neanderthal' is commonly used as a pejorative lol. It's a racist slur, if you think about it. There is no scientific basis for racism. All humans are essentially the same and always have been.

HAHAHA.. All the white countries are rich and advanced and all the black countries are poor and backward. And still you loony libs say race has nothing to do with it!!!
