Which should surprise no one, leftists couldn't run a lemonade stand.
Trump saw the financial truth about the liberal venue, and set about fixing it.

So much for all the leftist whining and hand-wringing about Trump stopping the financial bleeding at the Kennedy center.

Trump's Kennedy Center axman reveals how he stemmed the bleeding of the struggling institution

Conservatives have long touted the idea that politics is downstream from culture, so when President Donald Trump returned to Washington earlier this year for his second term, making efforts to change the culture was near the top of his agenda.

One of the moves he made, which shocked the political establishment, was naming himself the chairman of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and naming his former Director of National Intelligence from his first term, Richard Grenell, as the Center's President.

Speaking on the red carpet at the Kennedy Center on Saturday evening, ahead of the National Symphony Orchestra's gala, Grenell noted that over $2.5 million had been raised for the group before the dinner, which was more than $1 million above the previous NSO galas.

Grenell also told the Daily Mail on the red carpet that, between theatrical performances of The Sound of Music, as well as Les Misérables, which the center has hosted under his leadership, the Center has seen a 113% increase in ticket sales.

Les Misérables ran at the Kennedy Center from June 11 to July 13, 2025, and The Sound of Music's stint kicked off the show's new North American tour on September 9th. The Sound of Music's run continues for another week, with performances dated through October 5th.

Those numbers are the latest step in restoring the Kennedy Center's fiscal health, as Grenell has previously said that the venue can’t have productions where we’re losing money.'

Since I’ve arrived, we haven’t canceled a single show. We have just simply demanded that if you can’t sell enough seats with your production and you can’t find a sponsor to cover the cost, that then you’re on the hook,' Grenell told the Daily Caller last week.

Following Saturday's red carpet, VIP's attended a dinner prior to the evening's performance, which kicked off the National Symphony Orchestra's 95th season.

The symphony, led by conductor Gianandrea Noseda, kicked off ten weeks of performances in the nation's capital Saturday in front of a crowd of nearly 2,500 attendees at the Kennedy Center's concert hall.

Renowned pianist Yuja Wang joined the symphony on stage for Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No.1, a favorite of the crowd, which stood and applauded after her number for so long that Wang also performed an encore.

Is this 113% increase compared to the more than 50% decrease earlier in the year?

Prior to Grennel taking over there were over 20 cancellations.

I'm curious if Grennel and the Daily Mail are outright lying or just distorting the facts.

Desperate to find the cloud in the silver lining, per usual.

Even if your madeup bullshit is true, it would be a net increase of 63%...math isn't your thing, is it?

Must suck to be a permanent-burr-up-the-ass leftist.

ROFLMAO. Math isn't your thing.

50% of 100 is 50, a 113% increase of 50 is NOT 163.

It seems your goal every day is to prove to the world that "Grok is stupid."

WTF?? Are you serious?? A loss of 50% and an addition of 113% = 63%...exactly what I posted.

I never said it was " 163% ". Der...

What a fucking dullard....

Wow. You are the one that is the idiot.

Original ticket sales were 100.
There was a 50% drop in ticket sales so ticket sales were 50. ... 100 - (100 x .5) = 50
Then there was a 113% increase in ticket sales so ticket sales were 106 ... 50 + (50 x 1.13) = 106.5

There is no way to get to 63% using actual math. You have to be so stupid that you think you can just add the percentage loss and the percentage gain to calculate total gain. Only people completely unversed in simple math would make such a ridiculous mistake.

My post that used 163 was showing that your claim of a 63% increase would require that the total ticket sales is 163 of the original 100. .. 100 + (100 x .63) = 163.

No thanks; not interested in your silly little, word dance.

You claimed the ticket sales numbers are lies; prove it.
Wrong, again

I said Trump’s ass kisser’s claims were questionable, as is anyone or anything relating to Trump, as we know, honesty isn’t a valued quality for MAGA.

You claimed the ticket sales, which you said were easy to obtained, proved it valid.

So, consequently, I offered you the opportunity to prove your claim by producing the easy obtainable ticket sales, which, not surprisingly, you couldn’t
