Kari Lake, the GOP gubernatorial candidate in Arizona with a pretty face and ugly mouth still trails in the last big election from Tuesday's miracle for American democracy. She is and has been running behind Hobbs, the Democratic candidate, but she closed the gap in the last two days as same day absentee votes that favored her have been counted. Her problem is: not favored enough. Moreover, of some 177,000 ballots remaining as of this morning, around 70,000 are later ballots that have been favoring Hobbs and Lake's advantage with the other, larger bloc has been only in 56 percent range, and she would need an overall 58 percent pick up to overtake Hobbs. So, victory is a reach for Lake but seen as not impossible. We should know better sometime today.
