It's getting really ridiculous, isn't it? Every day, we see the liberals "leak" another 'scurrilous rumor' about Obama's supreme court pick, in the obvious hopes that redneck conservative tea-partyers will take the bait! They would love nothing more than to turn this into "you don't like her because you're all homophobes!" They'll be glad to settle for antisemitic views as well, anything to castigate the right, right?

Perhaps this is a way to distract from her actual judicial record? Given that she has very little in the way of opinions on record, and this would be a major consideration for any objectively thinking people, above and beyond her sexuality or religious beliefs. They can't allow such a fair evaluation, it has to be prefaced with the insinuations that opposing her, is merely symptomatic of your homophobic and sexist antisemitism. Her experience and understanding of the Constitution, have nothing at all to do with this, it's all about whether we are ready to accept a gay Jewish woman on the bench of the Supreme Court!
 
As far as I understand it, though they seem to think she "looks that way", everybody who knows her says she isn't a lesbian anyway.

I can't see why it matters to anybody.

It matters because the Liberals need for it to matter, Damo!

You apparently fail to comprehend what is going on out here in the real world. Liberals are on a mission to build the perception of the right, as a bunch of homophobic, antisemitic, sexist, bigoted, redneck knuckle-draggers and religious nuts, who roam around with truckloads of fertilizer and guns to instigate terror plots on innocent Americans!

In a moment of sheer honesty, one of the pinheads said in another thread... "If you don't like it, don't associate yourself with them!" THAT is what is going on! They hope that by election time, Damo will be too "above the fray" to associate himself with the Republican candidate, and either stay at home or support some insignificant third party candidate. Because you just couldn't bring yourself to vote for a bunch of racist, sexist, homophobic, christian, right-wing teabaggers!

So you and southernman are really just straw men? You might be right, that Dems try to promote that perception, but it's not like you guys are doing nothing at all to deserve it.

I thought it outrageous that CBS ran with an internet rumor and odd that the president gave it any consideration.

The thing of it is... What if he had selected somebody who was lesbian? Running around attempting to make it "better" by denial rather than simply rejecting the question to begin with isn't helping...

It's like watching a Seinfeld episode.. "Not that there's anything wrong with that!"

Exactly! It seems to me that too often left leaning people are the very ones who can't get away from color and sexual orientation, not conservatives. I think this supports Dixie’s supposition that they, the left media, want to stir up a brew-ha-ha that they hope conservatives’ will run with…what other explanation for this seemingly insensitive attack started by the leftist media?

Every conservative I have talked with, KNOW Kagan, will be interpreting the Constitution from a progressive lens and so test questions by Congress are really a mere formality.

I'm not good at spotting lesbian women. The only measuring stick I have, from college, is that if I develop a huge crush on a woman my age, I may be disappointed to discover that she's into girls. Kind of unfair that so much beauty and wisdom is being lost to mankind...

And I am here to tell ya, there is not a greater sense of sexual accomplishment, than 'converting' a lesbian! Yes... it's a challenge, but it CAN be done! ;)
