This is so stupid. Lots of Americans are addicted to drugs. There are billions to be made from supplying them. It is business. Since Nixon started the "war on drugs", we have busted cartels, killed and jailed millions of dealers, and taken mega tons of drugs off the streets and borders . The thing that stays the same is that Americans are still using drugs. Many commit crimes to get the money for drugs.
We have to grow up. legalize drugs and supply them to addicts. Then, have strong and reliable drug clinics. Get the people off drugs.
