WILMINGTON, Delaware, March 22 (Reuters) - A Delaware judge wrapped up a two-day hearing in the $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit by Dominion Voting Systems against Fox Corp (FOXA.O) over vote-rigging claims aired by Fox News, but did not immediately rule on requests by both sides that he decide the case in their favor without moving to a full trial.

Both sides made presentations during a hearing in Wilmington before Delaware Superior Court Judge Eric Davis, with Wednesday's session lasting three roughly hours.

It is one of the most closely watched defamation cases involving a major U.S. media organization in years, pitting the influential cable news network that features conservative commentators against a company that claims Fox's coverage ruined its business. The trial is due to start on April 17.

So basically horse shit

Not at all, the Judge is just allowing it to go to full trial, which probably means full airing of Dominion’s case, and further embarrassment for Fox

But you wouldn’t know any of that given Fox doesn’t cover any of the story, in the Fox bubble, it doesn’t exist

I don't watch Fox. I promise you watch way more Fox News than I do.

Actually, I'd say it'll be the other way around. Dominion will be the embarrassed party. They have to prove $1.6 billion in damages caused by FOX. Given that Dominion isn't a publicly traded corporation and the CEO's net worth is estimated at $120 million--

I'd say Dominion's total net worth is far less than $1.6 billion. That means that even if they win, they won't get more than a tiny fraction of that amount simply because they will be unable to prove real damages and losses to the corporation. Worse, since Dominion has currently running contracts with states like Georgia, Arizona, and California that are worth well over $100 million combined, they are going to have a hell of a time trying to show they were hurt by anything FOX said.

My guess is that the case gets tossed for lack of grounds and evidence on the part of Dominion.

You read poorly - the decision is not made at the time of the article.
