Kelly can either apologize and admit he has perpetuated a total falsehood, or he can continue the lie and shit his record for honesty and integrity down the drain. Kelly will go back to staying in the background. There's rarely a need for him to speak, save for when trump uses him as a pawn. I'm sure Kelly won't agree to bail trump's ass out again.

This is a simple issue; an elementary moral and ethical issue. Sad day for America that your president can't pass what is effectively grade-school levels of ethics and civility. And that's why I can tell you to fuck off with a clean conscience. I don't speak like this to people I have an ounce of respect for.

Kelly was pimped by the Administration, they used him hoping to change the narrative, to make it about the military and patriotism, amazed he didn't see thru it, we'll never know but I'd wager he regrets it now

Yes he did, I agree, and he believed every word he spoke, but what your missing is that Kelly is military, he comes from a military background, saying something like "he knew what he signed up for" would be appropriate in his environment, but not to a civilian widow pregnant with another child.

They put Kelly infront of the mike to get the exact response you expressed, to deflect and hopefully end the episode, the first thing this morning the President did was tweet attacking the Congresswomen based upon Kelly's appearence

The Administration used Kelly, as Huckabee said at the press conference, "it’s ‘highly inappropriate’ to question a 4-star Marine general"

I take you do not know anyone in the military, nor their families. A military family is just that. They know the risks, they certainly know the pain. The wife of that soldier is part of that military environment. All military families are.
