Jimmy Carter left office with a much higher approval rating than George Bush will, unless something drastically changes in the next month.

Also Jimmy Carter is currently considered to have been a much better president than George is currently considered to have been.

I heard all of these stats on the radio this morning, Ill try to find a cite to back it up.

But, George Bush is crusing to a place in history far far worse than that of any president in history!

I wouldn't be surprised if Bush becomes one of our worst ex-Presidents, as well. At least Carter has done good works here at home & abroad since leaving office, as have Clinton & Bush Sr.

Dubya is a self-centered son of privelege who simply doesn't care; I bet he just hangs out in Crawford, bikes & gives the occasional speech when he wants more cash.

Bush aint gunna do much more than go to some evangelical church where he can feed his ego by being worshiped, and enjoying his money.

Regarding Carters 'good works' that might be a matter of opinion. I don't think anyone will question his good work with Habitat for Hummanity. As far as what he's done overseas you might have some folks challenge you on that.

It sounds like W. bought a house in Dallas, probably because his library will be at SMU.

It's amazing how Republicans will go back decades in order to make themselves feel better, with some faux equivalence "there was a bad dem president once too!" crap.

Bush screwed up the country and we don't yet know if we're going to recover. Give it up.

LOL... read the thread Darla... Jarod started the thread as a comparison of CARTER and BUSH.

We didn't go back and try to find a bad Dem.... Jarod presented a comparison and we commented on that comparison. Had he compared Clinton to Bush and then we inserted Carter into the argument, THEN you would have a point. But that is not the case.... is it Darla?

I believe it is official I have passed on the non-ability to read and comprehend disease to Darla. We are all allowed a slip or two but eventually a pattern starts to appear and it seems Ms. Darla is now a full fledged member in this exclusive club. Congratulations!

I'm up and working by 5am every morning. By the time you get into the office at 9, I've already done as much work as you will probably do all day. Four hours of quiet work time - you'd be amazed what you get accomplished.

I have to actually go out now though. I can't tell you how fabulous my hair looks today!
