Jeffery Lord fired from CNN for Nazi salute

Originally CNN was the most "trusted name in news". Then once Fox News and MSNBC came around they said being in the middle isn't good for business and they've gone off the deep end

How is hiring Jeffery Lord the 'middle'? I'll bet you can't answer that.

CNN fired Jeffery Lord for the wrong reason. Rather, he never should have been hired in the first place. Shame on CNN for scooping up bottom-feeding Trumplings to spew false equivalence bullshit on their supposed news network.

It is all infotainment, more conflict, better ratings, evidently CNN bought him in to add conflict, he just blew his easy gig, sure he will be replaced by someone else

I actually read your post quickly and misunderstood your meaning. I apologize.

Apology accepted, thank you. It's unfortunate someone like Jeffrey Lord was hired and it's unfortunate in the race for ratings that people on the fringe drive ratings. I miss the days when quality and integrity was their driver

For what its worth, I do have respect for your tone and manners on these forums having interacted with you now in a few threads. Sucks that the discourse has deteriorated on both sides, and I am certainly not innocent in that respect.

And I totally agree with you on CNN.

In the real world I generally get along with all people including people who I disagree with politically. I don't like this idea that people who disagree can't have respectful or meaningful conversations. Lord (no pun intended) knows yelling at each other doesn't accomplish much.

I generally pride myself on trying to be respectful to all people but I have definitely fallen short on this board recently and am not proud of it. I can't control others behavior but I can control my own and it hasn't been good.
