Former President Donald J. Trump was charged with four counts in connection with his efforts to subvert the will of voters in 2020. “Despite having lost, the defendant was determined to remain in power,” prosecutors wrote.

The indictment was filed by the special counsel Jack Smith in Federal District Court in Washington. It accuses Mr. Trump of three conspiracies: one to defraud the United States, a second to obstruct an official government proceeding and a third to deprive people of civil rights provided by federal law or the Constitution. Mr. Trump is also charged with a fourth count of obstructing an official proceeding.

discounting legitimate votes and subverting the election results . In so doing, the Defendant
perpetrated three criminal conspiracies:
A conspiracy to defraud the United States by using dishonesty , fraud, and
deceitto impair, obstruct , and defeat the lawful federal government function
by which the results ofthe presidential election are collected, counted, and
certified by the federal government , in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 371;
a .
b . A conspiracy to corruptly obstruct and impede the January 6 congressional
proceeding at which the collected results of the presidential election are
counted and certified ( the certification proceeding ), in violation of 18
U.S.C. 1512(k ); and
C. A conspiracy against the right to vote and to have one's vote counted, in
violation of 18 U.S.C. 241

Another thing that is being fueled by Trump's lies is the fiction that the "DOJ is weaponized," and the "FBI is corrupt."

Trump is a one-man wrecking crew. Didn't Carlson say in private he was a destroyer? Election integrity & our institutions have taken major blows because of his lies. He is completely undermining faith in our republic, for millions of Americans.

He's a repugnant human being. It saddens me greatly that one clearly narcissistic individual is doing so much damage to the country I love. I don't think we'll ever be the same.

I share all of your very same sentiments Sir, and your assessment is accurate that we will never be the same. Here is a Washington Post article about how the Republican party really never parted from McCarthyism, and created the Deplorable Republican party of today by using the TRUMPISM Era to take the country away from the people!

I think you will find it very concerning, because the TRUMPISM Era is never going away now either- even if Trump croaked tomorrow on 5th Avenue or spends the rest of his life in jail. Every American should be concerned by what is going on now and what will follow Trump! And everyone should be concerned about the rogue and corrupt criminal Republican Party.

The DOJ is being used to stop Trump from running. Biden knows he won't beat Trump. The DOJ and FBI were weaponized against Trump by Obama and Hillary
