Listen, I know you Trumpovites find it comforting to tell yourselves that Flynn was fired for lying to the VP and that was the reason the President called for Flynn's resignation, but sadly that was not the reason, and deep down you know it.


They have known about the lie for more than two weeks. If the lie had bothered them they could have orchestrated a much more graceful departure and it could have happened a week and a half ago.

But, lets look at what happened yesterday that turned the tide for Flynn.... It was leaked to the NYT that The United States Justice Department had warned the White House two weeks ago that Flynn is a blackmail risk and that the Russians could be using undue influence on him to affect national security.

So the White House knew Flynn lied to the VP three weeks ago.

They only let him go once the blackmail information was leaked to the NYT!

THAT IS TROUBLING! They did not care that he lied to the VP, they did not care that he was a Blackmail risk, they did not even care that the people knew he lied to the VP, they only cared that the people knew he was a blackmail risk.
 
How was he a blackmail risk? I don't think anyone really cares that he lied to a VP, because, no one really cares about the office of VP...
 
God only knows what Putin and Co. have on Donnie Dump.

The pee-pee video is probably the least of it.

In a normal administration, like Obama's... where the POTUS is mentally competent to run things and be in charge of making decisions, that's mostly true.

But in this admin, just like the last GOP admin, the guy at the top of the ticket is an ineffectual, dunce and an incompetent boob. And just like with the last GOP admin, the current VP (along with Bannon) is the one really calling the shots because Dump is a moron who doesn't know WTF he's doing.

Nothing suggest irony and hypocrisy more than a liberal who supported and defended the last eight years of lies and failure now whine about possible lies and failure three weeks into Trumps Presidency.

You lack the basic intelligence to comprehend the Obvious or Truth.

Trump needs to realize the leftovers in DoJ ( like that Yates woman) and more especially the IC leadership is not sympathetic to a Russian reset.

Ask yourself why the Flynn transcripts were released. Why was Flynn even a target of an investigation?
The IC and the warhawks,and leftover State are all out with the Long Knives-
Russia is the bad guy by god, and we'll not allow any improvement over useless sanctions\
as policy
 
An hour before Trump accepted Flynn's resignation KellyAnne Conway said that Rump had "Complete confidence" in him.

Then they ran Spicer out to say that Rump was still "evaluating the situation"....


Is Conway out of the loop? Is she on her way out?

This is possible, but then Flynn should not have left himself open by lying to Pence, and Rump should not have attacked the intelligence community.
(he could not help himself, I suspect he was baited into it.)

We will soon see what the DOJ had on Flynn and then we will know the truth, maybe is was just that Flynn had lied, it could be as simple as that.

Maybe the transcripts were released to take away the blackmail threat, once they were released, there was no more risk of blackmail!
 
Trump needs to purge out State, and the DoJ ..He can't do anything with the IC other then put in new leadrship.
Obama isn't his friend either as he likes to think.

DC politics isn't about governing anymore -it's about thwarting an agenda .

for sure Flynn was way too cavalier ( read lying) to the VP.
But this isn't about Flynn -he'sjust a convenient fall guy to damage Trump.

Trump is the target, and he damn well better realize it. There are powerful forces that want a Russian Boogyman to stay.

He cant purge the DOJ, or the IC.

The bureaucracy is in place for a reason, its an unofficial check on the power of the Government.

Anyway, Flynn needed to be removed, so if DOJ or the IC was behind it... Good.

Do you think he should have remained after lying to the VP and reportedly lying to the President himself?

Apparently not, Trump sent her out again, on Today. She looked like she sat up all night babysitting him, too!

the real story here is the hostility to a Russian reset.
