Israelis gathered to protest Netanyahu's handling of the Hamas hostage crisis on Saturday.
Protesters blamed Netanyahu for failing to prevent the Hamas attacks, which killed 1,300 people.
Netanyahu has faced protests within Israel for months over judicial reforms and corruption scandals.

When Hamas, the militant group that controls the Gaza Strip, first launched a series of surprise attacks on Israel that killed more than 1,300 people, they also took an estimated 150 people hostage.

"I want Benjamin Netanyahu and all his people to go home because they've abandoned residents of the south and they're not interested in the lives of residents there and instead they're obsessed with small politics," protester Monica Levy told the outlet.

While the Hamas attacks have led to a wartime unity government for Netanyahu, the long-term political repercussions could be substantial.
Netanyahu's far-right, ultra-Orthodox government has long held itself up as taking security seriously.

But security forces in Israel were largely focused in recent weeks and months on continuous protests within Israel over Netanyahu's efforts to curb the power of the country's supreme court. Protesters said the move was a pivot toward authoritarianism. Netanyahu said it was necessary to address "activist" judges.

Israel's own Air Force chief warned in July that the dust-up over judicial reforms was an opportunity for Israel's enemies and represented a security threat to the country.

Long before Hamas terrorists infiltrated Israel on Saturday in an unprecedented breach, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s grip on power was in peril. Netanyahu, on trial for corruption, and his far-right coalition had faced eight months of widespread protests over a judicial overhaul that critics said was pushing Israel toward autocracy.

Now, after the attacks left more than 1,300 dead in Israel, many in the country are seething, deeming the security and intelligence failures a fresh set of reasons for stripping their leaders of power. In some cases, the fury has erupted into public confrontations between Israeli citizens and government ministers in the days since the attacks.

“You are responsible! Go home,” one Israeli woman shouted through tears at Idit Silman, an Israeli Cabinet minister, as she visited a hospital treating the wounded this week.

This is not the time for Israelis to fight among themselves. This is the time for Israelis to unify and destroy their real enemy Hamas. They can deal with Netanyahu and the IC failure later.

Bibbi’s forces killed about 70 evacuees today, as they were trying to flee the bombs. Mostly women and children.

Great job. Tell them they have to evacuate immediately, bomb the escape routes into rubble, then kill them as they attempt to escape.

They should have left when they were first told to. Buckle up because there will more.

They WERE leaving, you fucking moron. That’s the point that escapes idiots like you.

No doubt about more innocent casualties to come. Now, they will be at the hands of the Israelis.

Plenty of war crimes to go around on this one.

They should have left when the were FIRST told to leave moron. Anyone left in Gaza is either an idiot a hostage or a sympathizer. Israel is going to kill the Hamas overlords and try not to get killed themselves while they do it. I will not blame them to use the safest methods for the Israeli army. There is no reason for an Israeli son to die to protect anyone left in Gaza. They were warned. I would not be surprised at all to find out these 70 civilians were killed by Hamas. They are monsters.

Yep. Now the blood of innocents are on the hands of the Israelis.

Know what happened after this incident, idiot. People were too afraid to evacuate, knowing people were being killed in the process. So, they went back home.

Well that is own Hamas for declaring war on Israel. Anyone that gets killed in the war got killed because Hamas started this war. It's on Hamas, idiot.

They got killed doing exactly what the Israelis told them to do. Evacuate.

But you see, Israel bombed the escape routes into almost impassable rubble then fucking kills a bunch of innocents trying to escape.

Now, many are afraid to attempt escape and will die at the hands of the Israelis in their own homes. Woman and children this time. Not Hamas.

We don't know who really killed them. It's not like Hamas isn't capable of propaganda. We don't know if they weren't Hamas fighters trying to sneak out. Collateral damage happens they should have left DAYS ago. Anyone who dies in this war dies because Hamas broke through the fence and invaded its neighbors and slaughter over 1300 people and took ~150 hostages. Their deaths are on Hamas, idiot.

Hamas does not have warplanes. That’s what smoked the evacuees.

Those evacuation routes were designated safe routes by Israel. These people were killed yesterday. Women and children.

You can twist it all you want to put it on Hamas, but it was Israeli warplanes on the route they guaranteed to be safe.

“ Early Saturday, authorities in Gaza said the death toll from Israel's bombardment had eclipsed 2,200, including more than 700 children.”

Fucking moron.
