We survived the 20th Century, so, yes, we can easily survive one more century.

That said, we won't, because the world is going to end on 12/21/2012. Or in 2029 when an asteroid may smash into us (due to an orbital shift triggered in 2012).

I disagree. If anything, it should convince people that the status quo is NOT acceptable, if they buy into it.

I'm not a doomsday guy, but I recognize that much of what we do, along with exponential population growth, is simply not sustainable. Eventually, and probably sooner than most think, there has to be a revolution in the way we live our lives & conduct our business.

I don't think the sheeple consider loss of liberty at the hands of the post-constitutional left to be a scary concept, so perhaps the right isn't trying very hard to scare the people. There is terrorism, I guess...
