Is it dementia or did something change his mind?

A combination of both, but mostly dementia. He's delusional. The fact he can't remember what he previously stated is a clue.

He's also a firm believer that if he keeps saying the same thing over and over again then it becomes true regardless of the facts. This is the behavior of a mentally ill person.

This forum has more than one MAGAT who does exactly the same thing.

Short term memory is the most affected in early dementia, while long-term memory remains intact... at first.

Excellent. Why are they hiding it?
Because it's clearly a war crime.

They already released the video of the first strike. The second strike came 41 minutes after the first with the survivors trying to signal for rescue since they'd be facing near-certain death if left alone on the high seas. That's when "Operation Kill'em All" kicked in.

FWIW, a Hellfire missile is about $120K each. They used four on this boat alone. Why not save the money and just pick them up along with the drugs?
