Oh c'mon Jolly Jack... Bush WAS a chimp. That wasn't an insult it was a statement of fact. I threw him a banana once and he caught it in his feet.

as i said in the thread prior to this copycat thread, it is tasteless. but not all cases are racist. just because a few idiot racists still use the term in a racist manner, doesn't mean it is racist for all people. for example - boy. poet ranted and raved how cawacko was a racist for calling hsi black friend boy. boy, in modern vernacular for most people, is not a racist term anymore.

Just to be clear I refered to my black friend as 'my boy' just like Will Ferrell said in Old School 'you're my boy Blue'. I didn't just call him 'boy'. Nonetheless yes Poet went on ranting that it was racist etc when he clearly had no understanding how the phrase 'my boy' is used today. To tell someone your 'my boy' is a high compliment among the younger generation.

Yes. It is racist to call a black man a chimp. It is wrong to call any man a "chimp". But not always racist. However, ignoring historical context doesn't cleanse it of racism.

Thankyou. This thread should have ended after this post. Quite a few racist comments were made after this.
If you are not sure or don't think your comment was racist, if you disagree with Damo's comment, I am here to tell you you are a racist regardless of your "intent".
