Irishman dupes world media

This seems to happen an awful lot with obituaries nowadays.

As i understand it, apart from the long expected deaths, such as The Queen and ageing politicians etc., if someone not that famous pops their clogs unexpectedly, then whoever happens to be hanging round the office is often lumbered with writing it.

However, even the dimmest work-experience journalist should have the wherewithal to at least check the latest edits on a wiki page before copying and pasting it.

Charver, as an aside, what do you expect to happen when the Queen, as you say, finally pops her clogs? Will this be the end of the titular reign of the British Monarchy? How do your compatriots feel about Charles as potential King?

I am not looking forward to that black day, i can tell you. After what happened with our 'Queen of Hearts' Princess Lady Diana Spencer i fully expect a week of blank tv screens and mournful music.

While there was a little grumbling a while back when the Prince married that Camilla chap nobody seems very concerned about the succession. There's certainly no immediate desire to scrap the monarchy and, as the politicians suffer yet another day when the newspapers are filled with tales of MPs salubrious expenses claims, i can't see the suggestion of a President being well received.

He's a bit of a buffoon at times but Charlie's heart is usually in the right place and he's rather inoffensive. With the way his mother looks like going on it's 50-50 as to who'll go first. As much as the papers would welcome a new King William they'll probably be placated with a nice big royal wedding...and we'd all get a day off, which would be nice.

Thanks for clearing that up. BTW, I should know better than to sip coffee while reading one of your posts! I nearly decorated my screen upon reading your comment about Charles' marrying "that Camilla chap" ... :p

My guess is that Chucky will be bypassed... it will be King Charver!

... "that Camilla chap" ... :p
I'm glad I read your post first and was thus warned. What a hoot!

Seriously, what's up with Charles giving up that gorgeous woman for someone who looks so damn plain? He is solely responsible for her death.

I've never followed the Diana conspiracies, but I do know that Camilla approached Charlie at a social function and informed him that one of her ancestors was one of his ancestor's mistresses. Who wouldn't bite on that tidbit?

With me it wouldn't have gone beyond a polite 10-minute conversation. When you've got fine wine at home why drink vinegar at a bar?

Well you don't know what's going on behind the scenes. Di could have been a raging bitch that drove the poor Prince mad and since he couldn't do what good ole King Harry did to Ann Boleyn when she got on his nerves, goold ole Prince Chuck probably just dropped her like a bad habit instead.

I don't buy that- you can tell a lot about a person by their deeds and public behavior and Dianne didn't come across as anything other than genuine. Besides, he married her so should have stuck with her.
