I am for him doing that. They are giving him one additional opportunity to not be stupid.
We can't govern a post war Iran and rebuild it. His "policy," such as his candidate Trump soundbites indicate, was global retreat, not revanchism. Starting a war doesn't forward that.

Capitulate? You said in your other thread not retaliating would be the smart move, now it's capitulation. You're all over the map. I'm guessing no matter what The President does, you'll oppose it.

Trump is weighing all the permutations as to which one benefits him the most. Trump is about Trump. Trump does not care about the country. He will harm it if he makes out. You cannot use logic and doing the right thing. Trump may decide his backers want war and it will help his election. Soldiers' lives are currency in his election transactions. He will spend them if it helps him.

Our military bases were attacked by Iranian missiles, yet trump does nothing. Is that how he defends this country?
Trump killed their top general. An equitable reaction would be killing our top general. Iran killed nobody. They just showed trump that they have the ability to hit our bases. It was a very restrained reaction.
