Interesting perspective on taxes from a 1%er

I was listening to something earlier on the radio and some American guy, I forget his name, said that 30 years ago most CEO's earned about 13 times the average salary in their companies. This figure is nearer 80 times now, which begs the question are they so much better now than then?

I would have loved to ask Mr. Collins a few questions in the presentation......

The clown that says someone else paid for his education and the public infrastructure and legal system, and trained his workers, etc....
Of course they did.....just as he should have been paying for the next generation of students
and the next years cost of upkeep to infrastructure and paying taxes to support the next years graduates of higher education, training some other entrepreneurs workers.....
We all know thats how it works....then and now....my kids have left school 25 years ago and I'm still paying the costs for todays kids in school....

He should have been paying all his life like the rest of us for all those things he mentions, and if he thinks he "owed" more than he already paid, he was FREE to donate as much as he thought was necessary to ease his conscience....and his bullshit hypocracy about an estate tax would not have been necessary.....

Not long ago a few of those clowns was given a piece of paper that would have allowed him to donate any sum of money over and above his income tax bracket to the
government and they all refused when given the chance to put their money when there mouth was....

A farmer that in a very good year might earn 100,000 dollars, that has acres of land in his family for 50 or 100 years dies and suddenly, because suburban expansion, his land is valued at 5 or 10 million....and his son is supposed to pay 5,000,000 dollars in estate taxes?.....

Anyone that works hard and invests wisely does so for the good of his family and heirs...and for the government to confiscate 50% of it ludicrous......and unfair in the extreme.....

Envy is not becoming ......
