The House select committee investigating the January 6 Capitol attack is scheduled to hold its inaugural hearing on Thursday and according to the running order obtained by the Guardian, the panel will track the activities of the far-right Proud Boys group before and during the insurrection.

At the start of the hearing, the panel’s chairman Bennie Thompson and vice-chair Liz Cheney will make a series of opening arguments before outlining a general roadmap of how each of the six Watergate-style hearings are expected to unfold.

Would you do us all a favor and just create ONE thread and update on a minute-by-minute of what is going on?

As a side benefit, it could help keep your mini erection going for days.

Creating multiple threads on the very same subject multiple times per day is a violation of Rule 3.

"3. Please do not flood the board with multiple same-subject Threads. Multiple threads will be merged, when I have the energy... and deleted when I don't."

Should be interesting.

As noted on another thread, living and making history takes time. It took a little over two years to go from the Watergate break-in to Nixon's resignation. It's only been 18 months since Trump's coup failed.

I believe this is the beginning of the end of the WSE movement. The hammer will fall on them just as surely as it did on al-Qaeda and other Jihadist terrorist groups. While I don't know if Trump himself will ever go to jail for it, the odds are good that a lot of people under him will burn for it.

Also of interest to me is why the militias have all gone underground and, except for a brief statement from the Proud Boys in mid-Jan 2021, not made a peep about how Trump betrayed them. They will be tried and convicted for being either terrorists or traitors depending upon if they've taken an oath to the Constitution.
