In praise of the FBI

The FBI solves crimes, busts criminals, saves lives, prevents a ridiculous about of cyber crime & theft, and protects all Americans, every day, in ways most of us aren't even aware of.

The people who serve in the FBI are dedicated professionals, who are among the best America has to offer.

And somehow, they're yet another incredibly valuable American organization that many are willing to trash because a narcissist tells them to.

Cue some poster w/ an article about some bad thing associated w/ the FBI. Like all organizations, they're not perfect. Perfection is a ridiculous standard for anything, except proper barbecue.
 
I think the average FBI agent is a well trained, hard working person doing their job to the best of their ability.

Those tainted by political misconduct are the higher ups and its probably best to punt all of them just to be safe.

It is pure folly and stupidity to put blind trust in a law enforcement organization. The founders knew this to be true. They would never have allowed agencies like the FBI to be created.

What makes you say that? They're a law enforcement organization. You don't think the founders wanted law enforcement?

It's actually impossible to calculate how many lives the FBI has saved, how much property, how much privacy. They have protected the people of this country for decades.

the founders envisioned law enforcement as a local issue. elected sheriffs who used the populace to help maintain law and order, not some monstrous politically engineered army that could oppress the citizenry.

they've also killed people who were innocent and non threatening. IMO, they are more of a detriment because of their corruption than they would ever be a benefit

Today, little if anything, is local, what happens in one part of the country stands a good chance of influencing or effecting other parts of the country. The country couldn’t address terrorism nor organized crime utilizing local agencies

Yes they are not perfect, have made mistakes, bad mistakes, but overall, especially because we never hear of the vast majority of the times they are successful, they are a credible commendable agency

Ironic how up until Trump, the FBI has always been one institution the right adored, in fact, there has never been a Democrat in charge of the FBI in its history. Telling

It's actually hard to imagine the horror we would have experienced as a country without law enforcement at the national level.

That response is incomprehensible. The espionage, rampant cyber-crime, coordinated attacks on finance & the citizenry. The world without the FBI would be bleak.

They are not perfect...but we all are much better off knowing they are there to handle the many matters that they do.

The fact that the Nazi traitors are willing to trash them is almost to be expected. Some of these morons would trash themselves, their spouses, their children, and their parents if doing so would please their Fuhrer.

It’s actually cheaper to do life in prison than all the automatic appeals that come w death penalty.
