Agreed.
So far, too many Americans want "Daddy" to fix things for them because they are too poorly educated, lazy and dimwitted to do it themselves. This is why the DOGEs want to bring in better educated and smarter foreigners who can handle high tech jobs and would work hard to succeed.
The split in the MAGA Party over this is interesting. IMO, we won't have a fascism but we'll have an oligarchy thanks to the MAGAts.

It's a good book. Interestingly enough it seemed to me to be more predicated on a populist like Huey P. Long than a right winger, but the appeal to populism and solutions that feel more like "give-aways" if only you follow the dear leader is always a strong thing in America.
