She was born in Somalia. Lots of her family is there. Why does her commiserating with her birthplace and family's celebrations create a crime? I guess we have to stop St, Pattys day parades. End Cinco De Mayo, Passover, Octoberfest, Columbus Day, and other holidays that come from other countries.

She's a US congressperson. Denigrating the nation and people she took an oath to serve in favor of celebrating the independence of a foreign nation that mostly hates the US is not exactly doing her job.

One has to wonder why Omar had to flee Somalia seeking asylum in the US if she's so proud of that nation.

What's happy about it? The country is at war ffs!

Somalia has been embroiled in a complex and protracted civil war since the late 1980s, with various internal and external actors involved. The conflict has roots in the collapse of the Siad Barre regime and the subsequent power vacuum, leading to clan-based fighting and the rise of extremist groups like Al-Shabaab. The war has resulted in widespread humanitarian crises, displacement, and instability.

MAGATs live in terror of strong, assertive women, brown or non-whites, non-Xtians, and anyone with a (D) after their name. I'm sure you've seen the outpouring of Reichwing angst over the winner of the NYC primary on the (D) side. And not a single one of these stooges lives there, or in Omar's district, or in AOC's.

Fear is the most defining characteristic of MAGATs.
