It is nice to see Pillsbury Winterborn shaken up at the alleged mistreatment of a handicapped soldier.

There are many holes in this story. The first and most glaring is that unless he got to the gate late, he would have pre-boarded. Anyone who has flown within the last three years would notice two distinct things

1) They always let military in uniform board first. Yes I know he wasn't in uniform. But, the airlines have gone way out of their way to honor and respect the troops.
2) ANYONE with a limp is allowed to board early. I have watched them use specially designed wheelchairs to move people down the aisle
3) I have never seen flight attendants balk at people exchanging first class seats. I myself have frequently given up my first class seat to military in uniform and mothers traveling alone with infants.

Now, I am not saying that this man is a liar, I am just saying that from my experience as a flyer this story doesn't pass the smell test

But, I am sure it made Pillsbury Winterborn feel like he was championing a cause posting the story, so good for him
