Start two world wars that cause massive death and devastation, leaving you weak and irrelevant. Then award yourself a Nobel Peace Prize because you are no longer strong enough to stroke your ego via war and have had do so via committee for the better part of a half century.

i read the story before your thread and thought...you know cannabis, you thought obama's nobel peace prize was odd, this takes the cake over obama's award.

it shows just how truly worthless the nobel has become.

Another example of European club mentality. We're so special, we have an EU, a UN, a world court, a Nobel Prize committee, some overseas possessions in some remaining cases... and we're broke.

Also, we have over the last 2000 years gone from being referenced as barbarians to civilized people. We have a history and unique cultures, while the new Rome has neither.
