I voted today…for three different political parties

Splitting tickets makes absolutely no sense to me, Rev.

I guess ideological purity isn't the necessity to you that it is to me. I'm a man who picks a side.

I voted a straight blue ticket as I have in every election since 1968. Every single one.
I've voted for exactly one republican for every bullet that I've shot into my own temple, which is to say, none.
I've voted for Democrats that I loathed because my opinion of the republican--any republican--went well beyond loathing.

I can understand that you have substantially different values at the core of your existence than I do. Substantially different.
I suspect, however, that you vote for people rather than ideology, something I've NEVER done.
Otherwise, what could it be that would have you split a ticket?

Even the idiot Hawk voted a straight ticket, albeit a red one.
I suppose that if you don't like government at all, you'd see gridlock as a good thing.
Is that it?
