He instituted measures to increase U.S. oil supply to flood the market and lower global crude prices (oil is ~50–60% of gas costs).

And in his first term he only had one month that hit 13 MBPD and let the Saudis flood the market and drove over 100 US oil producing companies out of business , it wasn't till after they went out of business that Trump finally stepped in and told the Saudis to cut their production or he would stop all their military aid and they did. ( the US oil producers went to him and asked for his help and he did nothing then )
It was under Biden where the US oil production finally got above 13 MBPD and has stayed there NOT Trump.
And the US oil industry has had millions of acres of US land under lease for years and has had more drilling permits then they can ever use for years and haven't been using them so what good is it doing to lease more land or give out more drilling permits when they aren't even using the ones they have?
