A year ago, the MAGA cult was on it's knees fervently praying that the Afghanistan withdrawal would be an epic disaster; they practically guaranteed me that Americans would be kidnapped and beheaded.

But the proof that the Afghanistan withdrawal was not an epic clusterfuck for the ages is that today, one year later, Republicans are not even campaigning on the Afghanistan withdrawal in any measurable way.

That's all the proof we need to tell us the withdrawal wasn't the epic clusterfuck for the ages MAGA cultists told us it was a year ago.

Trump signed the surrender agreement with the Taliban in 2020.

I don't believe in using American soldiers to defend people who have no interest in defending themselves. The Afghan army Trump supposedly spent four years training just melted away without a fight.

5,000+ troops would have been needed to secure Bagram. Almost certainly leading to more casualties than 13.

You guys would have criticized anything that happened. But YOUR guy started Afghanistan, and Iraq. Remember?
