I launched a thread highlighting that my analysis that Iran cannot hold out forever is correct. They know it but they aren't ready to admit it yet.

All of you on the left that think Iran is winning aren't paying attention

Who said Iran can hold out forever? Or that Iran is winning the war?

What is occurring is that Iran is playing Trump to hold out as long as they can, which so far they have been successful at doing. Trump has not achieved any of the goals of his war, and in addition, has shown Iran that they have the ability to impact the world’s economy.

Trump misplayed his hand, he never understood the situation from the jump, and now he is desperate for an off ramp, a “deal” he can attempt to frame so that he can proclaim he “won”

It’s wild how you two keep trying to twist someone’s argument into you think Iran is winning just because you can’t actually respond to what was said.

Pointing out that Trump misplayed his hand isn’t the same thing as cheering for Iran, it’s just acknowledging reality. But instead of dealing with the substance, you jump straight to the same tired deflection: So you love Iran!

It’s the political‑debate equivalent of plugging your ears and yelling. If you had a real counterargument, you’d use it. Instead you’re trying to score points by pretending people said things they didn’t.

Maybe engage with the actual words instead of whatever imaginary version of the conversation you’re arguing with.

You are correct. Forever is a long, long time. We can't hold out forever. Nobody can. If you think you have insight, narrow the time into something reasonable. Tell us, soothsayer, when will they drop to their knees?
