About 11:30 est I said "Whelp....looks like Trump is going to win...I'm going to bed.".

Then when my wife, a Hillary supporter, realized Clinton would lose she proceeded to have an epic meltdown. Between that and my neighbors in our condominium complex who were Clinton supporters either jumping off their balconies or heads exploding I didn't get any sleep till about 4 this morning.


Man I'm tired.

I blew off work today so I could both cope with this Trump victory, and enjoy the Clinton loss. I am having negative feelings about Trump being president, but I'll be damned if I'm am not giddy about Hillary losing. I had accepted a Clinton presidency complete with nightly newscasts of her greatness and Bill playing court jester. I was ready for everything Hillary does to be the most amazing and historically awesome thing ever. Now I don't have to see any of that! Awesome!

But... Shit! Now I gotta listen to Trump for the next four years. Now we'll have the liberal media in overdrive to make Trump look bad no matter what he does and he'll make that really easy for them.

Almost as bad and maybe even worse!

Possible but I doubt it. The reason I think a lot of people need to take a chill pill is that more than likely the winner of this election will be a one term President. Regardless of who won.

Of course the Dems could get a case of the stupids and nominate Hillary again.

It was always that kind of choice, unfortunately.

I'm open to Trump surprising everyone. His acceptance speech kind of surprised me, though that's a much easier one to handle than the concession. But I thought his tone was night & day from the hard line he took all campaign, even moreso than most winners. Who knows? Maybe he'll be a good leader and really get some positive things done.

More likely to be a circus, but one can hope.

Not a chance. Democrats HAVE to see this as a real opportunity. It's as clear as it can be - it's time to break w/ the past. They need some youth & actual progressivism.

Meh Time will tell.

I have to give Trump his due. What he did, from a political standpoint, was amazing. No political underdog has outmaneuvered his political opponents to come from so far behind to winning the White House since Abraham Lincoln and to put things in perspective a large part of the nation was so pissed off at Lincolns election that they went to war. Lincoln turned out to be our nations greatest President and proved himself a genius. I just don't get that feeling that this office will overwhelm Trump like it did the Shrub.

I'm not expecting that from Trump but I'm also not expecting him to be the colossally incompetent President that W was either.

I waited until they called it at like 3:30 then had to drag ass out of bed at 5am for my commute I should have took a sick day.
 
Remember it was the awfulness of GWB that allowed Obama to get elected.

Trump is a weak and wounded president who did not win the popular vote. HRC would have been weak and wounded if she were elected. This is a loss, but its also a great opportunity.

Have you seen his economic proposals?

He has all the keys to the kingdom with both the House and Senate. If enacted, his polices could lead to disaster real fast.
