HYpocrites ignore Obama's death count and total count....

Unlike the 2,000-Death Count in Iraq, ABC, NBC, PBS, MSNBC Skip 2,000 Marker in Afghanistan

On June 13, the CBS Evening News devoted a story by David Martin to the Afghanistan death count reaching 2,000, as Martin interviewed a mother of a fallen Marine. CBS was alone. There was no story last week on the Afghanistan death “milestone” on ABC, NBC, the PBS NewsHour – or even on the MSNBC programs found in Nexis, including Rachel “Our Military’s In a Perilous Drift” Maddow.

But the networks were all more aggressive when the 2,000 mark arrived in Iraq on October 25, 2005. The Big Three networks devoted 14 morning and evening news stories to the death toll from October 24 through the end of October, and another 24 anchor briefs or mentions. They used the number to spell “disaster for this White House.”

legitimate point, we're war weary, and don't wanna know about AfPak except "combat trooops leave in 2013".
What we(conveniently) forget is we're supposed to be 'support role' for another 10 years/we won't because Karzai will collapse, and a non Pashtun gov't won't wait that long(Taliban)

AfPak is actually a bigger clusterfuck then Iraq - no-one really cares about Iraq ( except Iran, which now colonizies it). Paki was ..sort of... an ally.
Before we droned the crap out of houses, killed their troops etc.
At least had some interacton with the west, now is becoming a full partner in China's Shanghai Cooperation Org. (SCO).

I't difficult to assign levels of disasterous policies, they both have their own blowback. Maybe we'll learn to stay out of foreign civil war.
You know? Like we did in "Nam?

The point being made was the hypocrits in the media and how they covered Bush in a negative way and how they ignore any negative news about Obama....

Obviously we didn't learn anything from Nam, since we're back doing it again a generation later when theoretically the people who saw it at ground level are in power. The US needs to learn the meaning of the word "withdrawal" it doesn't mean pull out some troops and leave 10,000 behind(Iraq) and it doesn't mean sit there for years and years while we figure out the war isn't going to be won. You cannot out stubborn an Afghan, most of these guys grew up with stories about how dad used to go out and shoot at soviets.

Then we need to stop letting public opinion and politicians decide what our Military should be doing.
The US Military is suposed to go in, kick ass, take names, and then leave.
Let the asshole politicians and feel gooders do the diplomacy, afterwards.

Well we got the first bit down, we're great at going in. Actually succeeding in kicking ass is somewhat beyond us and leaving is beyond our comprehension, We're perpetuating soviet policy since they dont do it anymore.

No we're not.
Our fucking politicians want to state how and when the Military is supposed to engage, or defend.

Tell me how it's succeding to fight to take and clear an area and then give it back, so you can do it again?

You seem to be stating that it's the Military that want's to stay there!

The military gets no opinion. Obviously the soldiers want to stay home, they dont wanna get shot at, but the generals back in the US and the pentagon keep telling the politicians that it's working, the politicians are too stupid to figure out it's not and they keep funding. I'm saying we're NOT succeeding. We have no viable strategy at work here and our hearts and minds plan went out the window years ago, now the regular people in afghanistan just try to keep their heads down or they're likely to get shot by either side.

Yep; they all volunteered with the hope that they would just peel potatoes.

Get the fucking Politicians out of the Military decisions and things would be "accomplished" a lot sooner.

But you just don't get it, bravs.. They are now dying under a LIBERAL commander, so it doesn't really matter to them! Liberals can lob bombs and start wars, don't have to go to the UN or anything, they can just declare unilateral action whenever they please, because they are LIBERALS! If soldiers die in Afghanistan or Iraq, it's not Obama's fault, he didn't send them there, Bush did... so all the bad stuff goes to Bush. And we all know Obama wanted to end these wars, but those damned Republicans have stood in his way!

I wouldn't raise too much hell about the lack of media coverage... they'll probably run Fahrenheit 9/11 in commemoration!
