Shell announced on Saturday it purchased Russian oil to prevent market interruptions and ensure supply security.

Shell previously said it would limit business with Russia, including divesting from Gazprom, a Russian majority state-owned energy company.

"We will continue to choose alternatives to Russian oil wherever possible, but this cannot happen overnight because of how significant Russia is to global supply," Shell said.

Shell announced it purchased a cargo of crude Russian oil, just days after the oil giant said it would limit business with the country in response its "senseless act of military aggression" against Ukraine.

In a statement shared to Twitter, Shell said it made "the difficult decision" to buy the oil from Russia — the world's third-largest oil producer and a major gas exporter to Europe — citing concerns over market interruptions and supply security.

"We will continue to choose alternatives to Russian oil wherever possible, but this cannot happen overnight because of how significant Russia is to global supply," Shell wrote in the statement. "We have been in intense talks with governments and continue to follow their guidance around this issue of security of supply, and are acutely aware we have to navigate this dilemma with the utmost care."

Bidenites Meet With Repressive Socialist Regime in Venezuela to Discuss Oil Exports

The Biden regime is seeking to ease oil sanctions on Venezuela as part of a broader DEMOCRAT strategy to temper oil prices in advance of the November elections.

As of 2020, Petróleos de Venezuela SA, the country’s state oil company, was producing about 300,000 barrels a day.

Venezuela’s authoritarian regime—which the U.S. accuses of widespread rights abuses—is welcomed by Wall Street firms and other investors who have been talking to emissaries from Venezuela about a possible restructuring of $60 billion in debt.

The regime is offering infrastructure concessions, oil-and-gas reserves and asset privatizations, while pressing the investors to coax the U.S. to consider lifting sanctions.

The talks between the Biden regime and the Socialist Maduro regime, though, carry political liabilities for DEMOCRATS, particularly in Florida, where a growing Venezuelan exile community in Miami is strongly opposed to softening the hard line on Maduro.

Rather than produce more American oil, Biden wants to replace the oil we buy from one murderous dictator with oil from another murderous dictator.

U.S. oil services companies Schlumberger, Halliburton, Baker Hughes and Weatherford International would play a role.

ABC's Jonathan Karl baffled by Biden sanctioning 'everything but' Russian oil

Joe-Biden-Ukraine-Russia-Tension.jpg

ABC News' Jonathan Karl said on "This Week" Sunday that it was "extraordinary" the Biden regime is sanctioning everything but Russian oil, "the thing that drives their economy."

"The question of banning the import of oil and gas from Russia," Karl said. "It is not insignificant. We actually take in more petroleum from Russia then we do from Saudi Arabia. It's extraordinary, for all the sanctions that have been imposed, and they have been unprecedented on Russia, to sanction everything but the thing that drives our economy."

Sen. Roger Marshall, R-Kansas., introduced a bill on Tuesday that would ban the import of gas and petroleum products from Russia.

"First and foremost, Biden needs to restart America’s energy production and quit funding Vladimir Putin’s war on Ukraine by continuing to purchase crude oil from Russia," Marshall said.

Why is Bungling Biden still working with Putin on Iran?

So you would think bungling Biden would have learned his lesson about Russia by now, but he hasn't.

Bungling Biden's (Deep) State Department is still sitting around the Iran nuclear deal table with Putin's Russia and Xi Jinping's Red China.

Is bungling Biden really so desperate for a bad deal with Iran that he is willing to play nice with Putin?

Woke businesses have exited Russia in droves since the country’s invasion of Ukraine

file-20170904-17292-1nx8xtk.jpg

However, many of these same woke companies not only operate in Communist China, but have been linked to human rights abuses and forced labor exploiting the Uighur Muslim population.

Apple announced it would no longer sell its products in Russia and that some services would be suspended in the country, expressing "solidarity with all of the people who are suffering” from violence.

But the American tech giant is active in Red China, where it manufactures many of its devices and sells to the Communist Chinese market. Furthermore, Apple is complicit in the ongoing repression of Uighurs; an investigation in May 2021 found that seven Apple suppliers were using forced labor in Communist China’s Xinjiang province.

The woke company has previously lobbied against legislation aimed at curbing the use of forced labor in American supply chains.

Apple reported $25 billion in revenue from Communist China in the first quarter of 2022 alone, almost as much as the company took in from the entirety of Europe, according to financial filings.

The Red Chinese market was responsible for roughly 20% of the tech giant’s global revenue.

By comparison, Apple would lose roughly 1% of its global revenue by entirely exiting Russia, Politico reported.

Apple did not respond to requests for comment.

Russia and Europe were getting along just fine before Klepto-Joe spoiled the party. Putin didn't pressure NATO.
