Hyperloop Transportation

Is this feasible? I've read some information on it, but wonder if JPP posters have any opinions or thoughts on the matter.

Is Hyperloop the future of high-speed travel?

Seems like we would essentially have very fast elevated 'railroads'. :dunno:

I could see it being feasible from one major hub to another; but people are still going to need transportation when they arrive where they are going.
Make the transportation tubes, big enough to handle a car or cars and it would probably be more accepted.
Make one tube for west bound and one for east bound.
Have "switching" tubes tied in and monitor it like they do trains.

Thank you. Good points.

I agree it seemingly works with major hubs, like train stations. Maybe more like Europe high speed trains, but much faster. Musk thinks these could go as fast if not faster than air transportation. If true, it would be great to never fly in a plane again to simply get to one major US city to another. Like airflight, you have to have ground travel once you arrive. Seems better for business and the environment. Not sure what the cost would be for individual consumers like me.

Definitely like your West/Eastbound loop with connections.

I like the idea of this travel so much I am thinking of writing Musk about it.
