So this morning I went to go to an 8:30 hearing when I noticed my son's basked ball hoop had fallen into the winshield of my car.

The glass was shattered but still in place on the passinger side, the drivers side was fine. I called, USAA, my insurance company and they have already replaced it.

Amazing. Florida law required that they dont charge a deductable so the entire thing was free for me. Usually I fight insurance companies all day so when one does it right, I want to give them a shout out.

I am happy about it, my insurance payment is a fixed cost, its worked into my budget, but a new winshield is not. If I had needed to pay a deductable I would have had to take money out of my monthly discretionary spending, and I dont like doing that for things like winshields. And if I lived paycheck to paycheck it would have been impossable.
