Hunter Biden case: Ex-attorney general says Congress should summon Biden-appointed DC, Calif. prosecutors

Reports that whistleblower testimony may contradict a pledge from Attorney General Merrick Garland that Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss could investigate Hunter Biden unimpeded by main justice, one of the top lawman's predecessors called for select prosecutors to be hauled before Congress.

Matthew Whitaker, a former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Iowa who served as acting attorney general under President Donald Trump, suggested testimony from prosecutors in Washington and Los Angeles may be key to ascertaining the truth in regard to Weiss' abilities.

On "Hannity," host Sean Hannity said reports that Weiss was denied the ability to prosecute Hunter Biden in the District of Columbia and Central District of California had the potential to mean Garland perjured himself when he claimed no interference.

"Yeah, it would be. Sean. But I also know how the Department of Justice works and Merrick Garland is being kept in the dark by a lot of this," Whitaker replied.

"He's not communicating with these U.S. attorneys in Los Angeles and the District of Columbia who are doing his dirty work."

Whitaker said the deputy attorney general is in charge of supervising federal prosecutors like E. Martin Estrada in Los Angeles and Matthew Graves in Washington, D.C.

"The deputy attorney general, who has day-to-day oversight of those offices certainly is trying to keep things out of Garland's office. And not only would I bring those U.S. attorneys in front of Congress after they bring the six witnesses, I would also bring the assistant attorney general in charge of the tax division who would have had to approved or be involved in these cases."

"All of those people know a bit and a piece here. But at the end of the day, Merrick Garland was not honest with the American people. And we need the truth in this case because it just smells really bad."..........

Biden is going to regret going after Trump and not prosecuting his son. This is going to make the Biden house of cards fall. The House will not let this go. Expect subpoenas from the House. I suspect the deputy AG is going to have to fall on his sword. Hopefully the Federal judge will see that Hunter should have had additional charges and not accept his plea deal. The House is going to drill down on this and find out why IRS supervisor Lesley Wolf prevented the investigation of Joe Biden.

They are getting really motivated to get to the bottom of this and I have a feeling they are going to expose all the corruption of the Biden administration.

Wait a minute, so “a former U.S. Attorney ….. in Iowa ….. who served under Trump,” said on Hannity, the same Hannity who said he knew Trump lost but kept echoing the Big Lie anyway, and as reported in Fox, the same Fox who shelled out nearly a billion for lying about Dominion, and everyone is suppose to take it without a grain of salt

Do you people swallow everything

Multiple Whistleblowers have said Weiss said he wasn't the one that was calling the shots. They have contemporaneous notes that verify that. You believed a hearsay Whistleblower.

Another nothing burger.

Weiss was an independent investigator and did whatever he wanted. That is the point of "independent".

Multiple Whistleblowers have said Weiss said he wasn't the one that was calling the shots. They have contemporaneous notes that verify that. You believed a hearsay Whistleblower. Weiss tried to file c felony charges in California and in DC any was told NO. He has to receive their permission to file charges in their jurisdictions.

Right, just like Grassley had video of Biden doing something

And none of the multiple whistleblowers, and it ain’t hard to find whistleblowers, especially if you are a TV demagogue trying to fill an hour with entertainment, have offered anything concrete to prove their accusations, basically their word against Weiss and Garland

I encourage his testimony, it will be another embarrassing moments for the Trumpublicans.
I'm looking forward to him explaining why he told 6 people in a meeting that he did not have charge of the ultimate decision. It should get interesting. SOMEONE is lying either Weiss, Garland, or multiple Whistleblowers. The Sweetheart :lov1: deal suggests the Whistleblowers are not lying. :lov1:

The Whistleblowers have contemporaneous notes and emails that discuss what Weiss said in the meeting he had with them.
