No one could have anticipated the corruption, ineptitude, and obstructionism on the right and fringe right.

No one understood how much bigotry was still hidden in their closets.

Not an excuse, just taking responsibility for not fully understanding the evil that rode in with Sarah Palin.

Sounds a bit traitorous to me to hold the country hostage while trying to regain power thru obstructionism. But if someone holds C.Coolidge as a hero and backs C.C.'s brand of unrestrained, savage capitalism, even though we know that it only benefits the very rich, I don't expect his brainwashing will let him understand his idiocy or the answer to his ignorant question.

Sarah Palin would run over you with a freight train if she thought it was to her advantage. My friend who helped get her elected no longer speaks to her.

Screwing over your friends isn't petty stuff. Her home state doesn't even like her and Aaska is a very conservative state, but we know phoney when we see it. She showed us who she was and we believed her.
