but repugs oppose adding sprinklers to new homes up to and including laws that prevent even the discussion of adding a requirement for sprinklers for new housing

homes burning faster means less time to escape a home before the roof or a second floor collapses on the occupants

the claim is that smoke alarms enable residents to escape faster

insurance companies offer up to a 10% discount for homes with sprinklers because sprinklers limit the damage, injuries and deaths

the major opponents to sprinklers and home builders because sprinklers would add up to $3600 to a new 2400 sq ft home and thereby limit sales...

So when you bought your house, did you have it retrofitted with fire sprinklers or did you buy a new home that already had it?


California and Maryland are the only states that require sprinklers in all new homes, what about all the other blue states?
