I literally have met zero people who blame people of the Jewish religion for terrorism. There are people who believe rightwing governments in the state of Israel commit war crimes on Palestinian civilians.

In contrast, I have run across many, real actual Nazi anti Semites on message boards and in RL

No, it's because "very fine people" only want to teach the good parts of history, not the bad. That's why they protect Confederate monuments.

So what? There have been tons of mass murders throughout history, why should only the Holocaust matter? How many people can name the gulag camps?

The ' Holocaust ' is the term applied to the Nazi program of liquidating ALL of the minority groups and other people that it wanted rid of, colored folk, gays, Gypsies, communists, whoever. Modern research indicates that up to 20 million were systematically murdered, six million of whom were Jewish.
Of the other fourteen million victims the Gypsies refer to their own suffering as ' The Devouring '.
The Jewish victims refer to the horrors inflicted upon Jews as ' The Shoa '.

The point of reminding people of this is that it is incorrect to associate the Holocaust with Jews without acknowledging up to fourteen million other victims.
Those that want to discuss the industrial-scale slaughter strictly in terms of the Jewish victims should use the term ' Shoa ', as Jews do.
 
This is precisely why we need more federalization of education. Leaving it up to the states is lazy recklessness. Clearly, anti-federalization is failing education.

Every single anti-Israel person that I knew in HS (2000-2004) blamed Israel exclusively for ME terrorism. This did not subside in college/grad school. As the left has only become more anti-Israel during the past decade, this has probably not changed for the better. Also, if Israel elected a POS socialist government tomorrow, it would not lead to capitulation in the face of its enemies.
