Agreeing to a one-year extension of Obamacare subsidies is basically a vote to make them permanent.
Democrats are attempting to shift the blame for Schumer's shutdown onto the GOP in anticipation of sweeping the midterms next November.
If they gain supermajorities in Congress, which is what they're hoping for, they will pass a law to make Obamacare a charge upon the taxpayers in perpetuity.
POTUS won't be able to veto such a bill if the Democrats have a large enough supermajority.
I'm positive this was their plan all along and they're mounting a judicial coup to make Obamacare the single-payer plan they always wanted but could never get because the votes weren't there.
