HoDean DNC Chair?

A month ago some might have thought it was the Republicans that were groping for identity.
They'd just completed a primary with over a dozen candidates.
And the candidate the voters selected, the Republican rank & file primary voters selected was a complete outsider; never having served either in elected officer, or in the U.S. military (reportedly the first U.S. president elect in history to have earned that distinction).

BUT !!

Now it's the Democrat's turn to look in disarray.

Former Governor Howard Dean MD is reportedly seeking the chairmanship of the Democrat National Committee. But he is not unopposed.

Who's best for the office?
What changes should the DNC propose to guide their party to electoral victory and national prosperity?

bernie endorsed the ellison guy so most people are with him.

One of Dean's comments did make sense to me. He said being DNC chair is a full time job. You cant do it while being in office as well.

He certainly did a better job of it on his first gig than anyone since. But that had more to do with BO as all he ever did was drop a brain dead parrot in the role.

All I can say is that if the DNC picks someone who doesn't have extensive experience in the politics and governance of rural and small town America then they didn't learn a fucking thing from this election.

Love Dean, but it's time for some new leadership.

I heard Ellison interviewed yesterday. He really seems to get it. For him, it's all about the grassroots and cultivating leadership at the local level, as well as focusing on increasing voter turnout.

When more people vote, Democrats win. It's that simple.

What a terrifically bad idea. I like Ellison. He's charismatic and capable but if Democrats thing a black, large city, Muslim has the requisite experience to grow the Democratic parties footprint beyond the suburbs of our major metropolitan areas then they are hopelessly blind. Ellison is a good man if they want to retain the status quo and lose some more.

Democrats are not going to enlarge their footprint beyond the Suburbs unless they have people who understand what it is like to live in small town and rural areas and how government programs affect their lives. I'd far rather see someone like journalist Alec MacGillis lead the DNC than some big city liberal who lacks the life experience to understand the needs and values or rural and small town Americans cause without those they will lack the frame of reference for developing programs that benefit these demographics.

This may be a hard pill to swallow for many of my liberal friends and they may shake their head in disbelief at this notion but there is life outside the suburbs and life there can be pretty darned good. As long as Dems are dismissive of rural folks as a bunch of ignorant, fly over country, hill jacks who don't know what their best interest is, they are going to fail to consider their needs and their going to lose their votes and rightfully so.

So the DNC is going even further to the left with a pedophile worshipping black Nazi. Good call.

I look forward to more replays of the Dean Scream. It never gets old, and it's still funnier than anything Douchebag Donald did during his primary.

I also kind of hope the Dems bring back Terry McCauliffe, so that he can be the third consecutive chair to resign in disgrace after scandal.
