His first poll test and Corbyn is staring disaster in the face

  • Labour set to be first opposition since 1985 to lose English council seats
  • The party is also braced for a hammering by the SNP in Scotland
  • Scottish Tories could humiliate Labour by replacing them as opposition
  • Labour on course to lose 3 seats in Wales, while Ukip is set to gain 8
Moderate Labour MPs are tonight sharpening the knives for Jeremy Corbyn amid predictions of the worst performance by an opposition party for 30 years. MPs fear that – once all votes have been counted today – Labour will be the first opposition since 1985 to lose English council seats at an election. The party was also braced for a hammering by the SNP in Scotland. Party moderates are ready to seize on the results as evidence the Corbyn project is dismally failing.

The Labour party has actually performed quite well. The result has made it very difficult for the Tory moles in Corbyn's party to attempt to unseat him in favor of one of their own.

Importantly- the ' antisemitism ' slur has fallen on its ass . Britain 1, Israel 0.

Even MORE importantly- those that want the UK to remain within the European Union have trashed all opposition in Scotland thereby putting a 2nd referendum for Scottish independence back on the table. Just imagine the gloomy breakfast faces of the paunchy English lairds !

The author of this foolish thread is conspicuous by his absence.

Extrapolating, his other claims in his right-wing fantasy world are equally ludicrous.

Corbyn is the future prime minister of the United Kingdom. This attempt at a coup will be squashed by loyal party comrades.

Labour has lost nearly 40 MPs in Scotland and they will lose another 20 or so when the Boundary Commission does it work. It would take a miracle for them to win ion 2020.

Well, I can read- and I can see that the ' disaster ' you forecast for Corbyn didn't eventuate. In terms of political clairvoyance- you just got sacked, old boy. Comment ?

C'mon, c'mon- out you come with your ..er...justifications and pathos. See you, Jiminy.

Corbyn is savaged in face-to-face clash with MPs over poll failure: Meeting described as 'the worst one yet' after Labour leader loses his nerve

  • Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn was last night savaged by his own MPs
  • They are furious at party's failure to make progress in last week’s elections
  • There were angry recriminations from the Parliamentary Labour Party
  • That's despite sources promising earlier that he would reprimand rebels

Jeremy Corbyn was last night savaged by his own MPs, furious at Labour’s failure to make progress in last week’s local elections. There were angry recriminations at a meeting of the Parliamentary Labour Party, despite Labour sources promising earlier that he would reprimand rebels. He was due to criticise them for ‘parading on the media to give a running commentary on our party’, but appeared to lose his nerve. Jess Phillips, MP for Birmingham Yardley, said: ‘I thought socialism was about “we”, but it’s all been about you – and that’s not a good thing.’

Sadiq Khan, who was elected Mayor of London in one of the few Labour successes of the elections, told Mr Corbyn he must stop missing ‘open goals’. The meeting was described by one anonymous shadow cabinet member as ‘the worst one yet’. Mr Corbyn was expected to warn MPs to stop attacking him in public. Labour sources claimed he would say: ‘We need, if not across-the-board unity, then at least respect for each other.’ But he appeared to lose his nerve. MPs at the meeting said he toned down the warning dramatically when faced by his critics. ‘He didn’t say any of it,’ one said. ‘It was just the usual waffle.’

My, my- the racist Brit government is forced to apologize to a victim of its racist rhetoric- designed to blacken the character of London's first Muslim mayor.

The UK is governed by degenerates.

David Cameron sorry over 'IS' cleric comment

David Cameron has apologised for "any misunderstanding" after describing a former imam as a supporter of the Islamic State group.

He accused Suliman Gani in Parliament of backing the militant group as he questioned Sadiq Khan's judgement in sharing a platform with him.

Mr Gani has said claims he backs IS are defamatory and must be retracted.

Earlier on Wednesday, Defence Secretary Michael Fallon apologised for making similar claims.

Sadiq was grilled by Brillo during last night’s BBC mayoral debate on his links to radical imam Suliman Gani, a well-known name to Guido readers. Khan insisted he did not regret appearing on a platform with Gani but confessed he gave the impression he subscribed to his extremist views:
.
Andrew Neil: “Suliman Gani, who’s a supporter of Islamic State. You appeared on a platform with him nine times. During one of these times you must have found out what he really believed in?”
Sadiq Khan: “There are lots of campaigns and issues that I’ve been involved in as the chair of Liberty, as a human rights lawyer and as a politician which had cross-party support…”
AN: “Do you regret appearing on platforms with people like that?”
SK: “No, I regret giving the impression I subscribe to their views…”
.

Khan’s allies cry foul whenever he’s asked about this, but even he now admits it is an issue…
