Bush v. Palm Beach County Canvassing Board, the Court hoped to end the election crisis by putting a stop to the Florida Supreme Court's decision to extend the time for certifying the vote past the period set by state law.
This is called CHANGING the rules after the fact.....its illegal....
A week later, the Florida Supreme Court ordered a statewide recount of ballots. The Supreme Court said, Allowing the recount to go forward, would violate the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. .......it too is illegal, unconstitutional...
That doesn't even get into Recounts that were started, then stopped as Republicans and Democrats wrangled over what standards to apply. --How do hell do you count votes without any standards or what constituted a vote.
