Donald Trump says he spent a lot time with 9/11 responders. Here are the facts

On the day of the attack, Trump called into WWOR-TV and spoke about what he saw from his office.

"I have a window that looks directly at the World Trade Center. I saw this huge explosion, I was with a group of people. I really couldn’t even believe it," he said.

Trump was near the Ground Zero site two days after the attacks when he gave an interview to a German television station a few blocks away. This interview marked the first of several times when he would say, without evidence, that he had sent a lot of men to help in the area.

He spoke about his own buildings, including 40 Wall Street, which he said was now the tallest in Manhattan.

I think he or some were trying to imply he was there doing his lil thing to help~when everyone know bone spur wasn't about to get his hands dirty..

First and foremost, he is NOT on the pile, near the pile, NOT in his blue suit and red tie and pristine white shirt. He is nowhere NEAR the pile. LOWER MANHATTAN is lower Manhattan.

(I was 'on the bridge' when the Air Florida jet hit it and went into the Potomac! I was on the 2nd span about 50 feet away in the carpool lane but I can say I was on the 14th street bridge that day and time of that disaster. But I don't say it. AS--I had just crossed it before the plane hit and was not on the 2 lanes that were actually hit! A couple of my fellow workers were. Both were fine, the plane didn't hit their cars, one fellow worker's neighbor died that day in the water).

Trump makes everything about him. The more drama the BETTER. And he LIES ABOUT THAT to make it more dramatic and include himself in the drama. There are many ways to steal VALOR.

Sure, he was "at" Ground Zero...a couple days after 9/11 happened, and by the looks of his crisp, clean suit, only went down there to appear on camera.

Trump lied about sending a crew of men to help at ground zero just as he lied about his private investigators going to Hawaii to investigate Obama's birth certificate. Every time he opens his mouth he lies. With his dying breath he will lie.

Trump was "near" Ground Zero, two days after the attack, and didn't get a single hand dirty the whole time he was there.

By that, I mean he didn't help at all.

He just showed up for the cameras once it was safe to do so.

I didn't go traipsing down to Ground Zero looking for a camera two days after the attacks, only to find a camera three blocks from where it happened, then lazily saying that counts as a Ground Zero visit.

Bitch, I lived in NYC during 9/11. I wasn't at Ground Zero after it happened because they literally told people not to go down there because it would interfere with the recovery and the air was still toxic.
