Is the California economy finally turning a corner?

In California, the deficit for the current fiscal year is projected to be $1.9 billion, down from $25 billion in recent years. The unemployment rate and some home sales are also improving.

We have a PROJECTED deficit of $2 billion and PROJECTED surpluses going forward. I've lived in California for 30 years and can't say I recall any politicians making rosy budget projections that have never been met (sarcasm). And our unemployment is still over 10%, well above the national average.

Let's pump the breaks on proclaiming California's economy to be fully back.

Edit: To be clear I hope this is a sign California is turning the corner and our state economy takes off again but having seen many rosey projections before not come through count me in the 'I'll believe when I see it" camp.

The key word here is "PROJECTED". Were these projections made because Californians recently voted to increase taxes on themselves? When has this ever worked before?

If the feds would stay out of the way, marijuana revenues would turn things around in a short time.

Just say you will use pot to fund education. That is how you legalized gambling on the backs of the poor.

It is amazing how libtardiots claim to care about the poor yet victimize them at every turn.
