Hate crimes surge by 42% in England and Wales since Brexit result

Police have said the number of hate crimes recorded for the last two weeks in June has spiked by 42 per cent on this time last year.

A total of 3,076 incidents were recorded across the country between 16 and 30 June – a dramatic increase on the 915 reports recorded over the same period in 2015.

The biggest number of recorded incidents came on 25 June – the day after the result of the EU referendum – when there were 289 hate crime related incidents.

Following the UK narrowly voting for Brexit, there have been numerous reports of ethnic minorities and immigrant families being targeted for racial abuse.

Hate crimes? Moontwat is a one man hate crime, every fucking day he spouts more Hamas horseshit. These hate crimes in the UK usually amount to something like a look or a glance or even some name calling. Of course in the US it will undoubtedly result in murders whilst over here hurt feelings for the most part. Holy fuck, when my wife first came to England she used to get arseholes calling her Chinkie. I heard one of them one day when thought she was alone. I was so pissed off that I chinned the cunt, at least he learnt that actions have consequences.

Met Police deputy chief links Brexit vote to hate crime rise

The deputy chief of the Met Police has linked a rise in reports of hate crimes to the result of the EU referendum.

Scotland Yard deputy commissioner Craig Mackey said the Brexit vote appeared to have "unleashed something in people".

The number of hate crimes the force sees daily has more than doubled since before June 23.

Four hundred people have been arrested in London for suspected hate crimes since Britain voted to leave the European Union, according to the Met.
