Hate Crime

I disagree. Like too many Americans, Lig's full potential hasn't been fulfilled.

Although I'm against the common Democratic Party solution of just throwing money at problems to prove they are doing something, more Federal effort should be expended upon educating Americans. At least make it available for free (public libraries) and cheap (central testing centers with a fee based upon local economy).

If people don't want to educate themselves, that's their problem, but at least make the opportunities available.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion.

Pulse Nightclub was classified as a terrorist attack and not a hate crime. There was no evidence the killer even knew it was a gay nightclub. He did post his allegiance to ISIS and was angry about U. S. airstrikes in Syria and Iraq.

Wasn't Fort Hood classified as a workplace violence? LOL

Army finally gives Ft. Hood victims their full entitlements
On April 10, a grievance by military victims of an enemy attack was partially addressed. However, it appeared a charade perpetuated by President Obama for six years would still leave the victims without that to which they were rightly entitled.

To fully understand the victims’ plight, some background is needed.

{mosads}The Purple Heart is a unique military award. Most military medals are issued based on “recommendations” by others. However, one who sheds blood—i.e., is killed or wounded—“in any action against an enemy of the United States” becomes immediately entitled to the Purple Heart. The underlying basis for the medal makes it a “combat-related” award, generating certain medical and financial benefits, such as hostile fire pay, for recipients.

For years, U.S. military personnel serving in Iraq and Afghanistan who were killed or wounded in those combat zones automatically received a Purple Heart. This included victims of “insider” attacks—where allied soldiers suddenly turned on their unsuspecting American counterparts, motivated to do so by the hateful jihadist ideology we have been fighting since 9/11.

On November 5, 2009 at Fort Hood in Texas, another “insider” attack occurred. Unlike the others, the attacker, motivated by this same hateful jihadist ideology, was one of our own—U.S. Army Major Nidal Hasan. Like the insider attackers in Iraq and Afghanistan, Hasan proved to be a jihadist warrior-in-hiding. His murderous rampage claimed the lives of 13 and wounded 32 before he was wounded.

{mosads}The Fort Hood shooting victims were denied automatic entitlement to the Purple Heart. It took an act of Congress to address this injustice, allowing them to receive their medals on April 10.

The reason it took six years for the entitlement to be recognized stemmed from the Obama administration’s insistence the Fort Hood shooting not be attributed to terrorist activity, but to “workplace violence.”

This was done purely for political purposes to avoid the obvious link being made that the attacker was motivated by his Islamic extremist beliefs. Obama, having repeatedly assured us Islam—by definition—is a peaceful religion, reasoned one conducting such a violent attack cannot be Muslim. Thus, it was not Islamic ideology but a hostile workplace that led to the attack....

LOL While that is most probably true, the facts indicate Audrey targeted the school itself. IDK why.

Obviously the first guess is a conflict between the beliefs of the school versus her own identity as a human being.

Law enforcement says that they have writings she did but still say they're searching for a motive. My guess would be convenience; she had once attended that school and had made sketches of its interior and exterior. Maybe it was just more accessible than other school(s) she attended? At any rate, she's dead, so no point in investigating it as a hate crime just to placate the poor pathetic persecuted wannabe-Xtian perpetual victims on JPP.

You and your pesky FACTS. ;)

Oh, I think we've all seen quite enough of Minty's "potential." She has fulfilled her desires to be an unhinged, rage-and-rant-filled racist hater. Look at her older posts as her sock Pointgold and you'll see what I mean. She's been told multiple times that she's a raving racist but has she changed in all those years since she first popped up here? Nope. A number of old-timers here know her from a prior forum from 20 years ago. She hasn't dropped the hate or the grandiose me-so-great posting in all those years. Bet she never will.

Audrey had mental issues. I'm positive that whatever the motive is, it will be irrational. Is there any doubt the endgame was to never leave the building alive? That's cray-cray right there.

When assessing a person I look at their range. Most members of the KKK have a very limited range; mostly angry victimhood. Lig has shown a greater range even though, as you've pointed out, she doesn't exercise it very much. IMO, that's due to a lack of self-confidence. Low self-esteem. Something other members of the KKK happily feed upon.

She has an odd way of trying to make herself look good and increase her pathetic self-esteem. Bragging incessantly about how happy, wonderful, well-adjusted, sane (!), not-racist, fulfilled, normal, etc. that you are doesn't really work. It just makes you look even flakier and weaker. lol
