Has Trump run a competent campaign?

I'm just watching his speech right now. It's actually a good speech for him - right on message, direct to the issues. And it's noteworthy because he has been "on message" like this so little in this campaign.

Everything throws him off. Any attack on him throws him off balance, and not just for a moment or a day - for days or weeks. He lost an ENTIRE WEEK of his campaign because Hillary brought up Miss Universe in a debate. Going on 3:00 a.m. twitter rants and devoting so much time to it.

It's easy to distract Trump - to throw him off, get him off track, consume his attention. To say he is "thin skinned" is such an understatement.

Back to the question of the OP: if he hasn't run a competent campaign, what do people expect when he's President? No one gets more criticized than the President. It won't just be the media and opponents who throw him off - foreign leaders, Congress, a new crisis every other day.

Does anyone really think Trump can handle that?

Trumpf is an incompetent, ineffectual and impotent crybaby politician...
Very similar to his stupid racist followers.

He's run a revolutionary campaign. He's defied convention at every turn and it's worked. When you filter out meaningless crap his has been far more competent than his opponent.

He's been doing that for a living for decades and effectively.
Hrc never has.

That's Trump talk. He can't really break 40% in the polls against one of the weakest Democrat candidates in history. I don't think there is any doubt that he'd be winning if he ran even a moderately competent campaign and was able to stay on message.

Considering his opponent isn't just hrc but the msm, the entire DC establishment, wall street and Soros, all things considered it's miraculous.

My answer is "sort of." Running against Crooked Hillary makes for a low bar, as he would likely be getting clobbered by every other candidate to ever seek the presidency. Now that his poll numbers seem to be recovering in the wake of the public learning about his penchant for sexual assault... He seems to be relatively competent at running.

It's worked with the undereducated, underinformed lemmings. His bullshit and bullying worked in the primaries against a weak field. Now that he's in the big leagues, he's getting his ass handed to him.

But, keep foolin' yourself, fool.

People are accustomed to the way 'politicians' talk and act and seem to want that role played, like an actor in a movie no matter how obviously fake it is
.....that ain't Trump...sometimes he is his own worst enemy and don't get how any slip of the tongue will be
magnified by a totally unfriendly media....he sarcasm and his jokes are taken as serious remarks and portrayed that way for days and days....and the gullible believe it...
