Harvard-Harris Poll: Trump Dominates in GOP Primary, Opens Up Massive Lead over Biden

Former President Donald Trump is dominating in the Republican presidential primary and has opened up a massive lead over President Biden in a potential head-to-head match-up, May’s Harvard-Harris survey found.

The survey showed Trump completely dominating in the 2024 Republican primary with a majority supporting him in a potentially crowded field. Trump garners 58 percent support, while Gov. Ron DeSantis — who is rumored to announce a presidential bid next week — falls into the teens with 16 percent support. That 42-point lead reflects a three-point uptick for Trump and four-point decrease for DeSantis since the latest survey.

Not only is Trump dominating in the GOP primary, but the survey also shows him leading President Biden by seven percent, garnering 47 percent to Biden’s 40 percent.

That reflects a two-point increase from the 45 percent Trump saw in the last survey, while Biden has remained the same.

Thirteen percent, overall, remain unsure.

Meanwhile, DeSantis and Biden are tied in the same scenario, each garnering 42 percent support. That reflects a one-point uptick for DeSantis and two-point jump for Biden:
 
I have mixed feelings about Trump. Trump has great policies and he would do another good job including completing the wall and trying to clean up the FBI and pardoning some of the 1/6 rioters. But I think Trump has so many negatives that winning in a general election might be hard. DeSantis may be the better choice.
 
This is a Harvard-Harris poll, reported by Breitbart (for the far left loons who will say it's a Breitbart poll...it isn't).

Yes, Trump has done enough for our Constitutional Republic and suffered enough. He and his family have been attacked daily by the far left loons...and the FBI, the Justice Dept. and the CIA...using the awesome power of government to tip the political scales.
 
Well I think Biden has more negatives than Trump for sure.

Plus the left have already hit Trump with everything they have so Trump is thoroughly vetted while Desantis is not.

Yes the Dems want to gain power by any means possible. The end justifies the means to them.

Either Trump or DeSantis would be better choices than this senile old loon in the White House who has driven America into the ground.

Dianne Feinstein would be a better choice than Joke Biden. At least China doesn't own her as far as we know.

Never underestimate the power of ballot stuffing. Trump may create excitement for Democrats to turn out to vote against him.

Voting will be much more heavily monitored this time so I don’t think that’s an issue

If Desantis runs, which he is expected to, I’m thinking it’s not to win the nomination but to secure the VP slot and I am pretty sure he ends up on the ticket with Trump

Biden will have a very tough time if those two are together

That would be the dream ticket. Do you think Biden will end up being the Democrat nominee or do you think the Democrats will sabotage him before the election and replace him?

He built 23 miles of new wall in 4 years. The wall is a pretend solution. They are tunneled under and climbed over. They are flown over. Most drugs and illegals come in through the port of entry. The FBI is clean. Trump wants to take it over. He wants his Gestapo.
Polls are meaningless at this time.

They will go with him because he has a record they can twist into a positive thing


However RFK is already at 21% popularity so it’s obvious that democrats are not excited about a Biden/Harris ticket

He replaced a lot of broken down wall at high traffic areas. The wall that he replaced had been breached multiple times. Most illegals come between the ports of entry. We don't know where most illegal drugs actually get in the country. Most of the illegal drugs THAT WE CATCH are caught at ports of entry. But that makes sense because that is where CBP are searching for it. Yes they do tunnel under the wall. But as many as ten thousand illegals a day are coming across the Rio Grande and cartels would not risk discovery of a tunnel with so many mouths. Nor is it likely that 10,000 migrants a day could climb the wall. And it isn't likely old women , little kids or pregnant women could climb a 30 foot wall in great numbers. Plus the wall has sensors and cameras to detect breaches and CBP are dispatched to respond to illegal crossings. The wall is designed to reduce illegal entry not to totally prevent it.
