I did finally watch that movie a while back. It was definitely good for a laugh if nothing else.
 
This is as dumb as all the ice melting by 2008 or whenever the alarmists predict, they constantly change the date.

For the Gulf Stream to collapse the wind would need to stop blowing and the earth would need to stop rotating and if that happens we'd have far bigger problems.

Lets be sure that we all know that the end or even great weakening of the air and/or water currents would be catastrophic for us. I do know that "Save the Planet" is a fraud and I have not seen any evidence that this claim is counter to the trend.

It is not possible for the Gulf Stream to stop flowing. The Earth is unevenly warmed. The equator receives more heat than the poles.
THAT causes currents in the ocean.
