while whitman may not be a whore in the sexual sense, she is a whore in the political sense, but then most politicians are...

Cracked up: Oakland police want to know how one of their unmarked cars was wrecked in a collision south of Clear Lake - with the girlfriend of a recently demoted deputy chief behind the wheel.

According to the California Highway Patrol's accident report and other sources, Priscilla Yambao, 40, a civilian employee of the Oakland Police Department, crossed over a double yellow line on Butts Canyon Road West on Thursday and smashed the Ford Crown Victoria into an oncoming Honda Civic.

Yambao was treated for minor injuries at a St. Helena hospital and later released. The other driver also escaped serious injury.

A source familiar with the investigation tells us the car had been checked out by Lt. Jeff Loman, who was busted down two ranks from his deputy chief's job last year after a female sergeant accused him of sex harassment. He's still fighting the charge.

According to our source, Loman says Yambao took off in the car without his permission.

Yambao couldn't be reached for comment.

Loman's attorney, Alison Berry Wilkinson, would only say Tuesday that she hoped the matter would be quickly resolved.

That's because Loman, 49, is 10 months away from retirement and an annual pension of more than $180,000, based on what he made as deputy chief.

Seriously? Being a cop is not an easy job but $180K/yr for life? I was renting a home to a police man who was in the same situation. He was 49 and he told me in a year he'll retire with $90K plus benefits.

I don't want either Brown or Whitman getting the police unions endorsement if it means saying they won't reform their pensions.

You know, it's fashionable in feminist circles to sit around bemoaning the fact that few young women want to identify themselves as feminists.

Wanna know why? This kind of hypocrisy is the reason why. It's OK with NOW, supposedly an organization devoted to the equal and respectful treatment of women for Jerry Brown to call his opponent -- an accomplished woman, and more importantly, any woman -- a "whore." It's OK with NOW for Bill Clinton to engage in sexual harassment of an intern in The White House, and possibly worse in his pre-presidential days. It's OK with NOW to allow Sarah Palin to be denigrated in the cheapest, lowest and most sexist ways.

NOW has nothing to do with women's rights, or the proper treatment of women. They are simply shills for abortion and big government. They ought to admit it and take the word "Women" out of their name, because they no more stand for "women" in general than President Obama stands for small government and low taxes.

Women -- and men -- are on to NOW's racket. That's why their endorsement means nothing. They're just political hacks. What young woman in her right mind would want to be associated with such cheap political opportunism?

NOW is a liberal organization and they routinely ignore attacks on conservative women.

NOW was supposed to be an organization about women and womens rights including appluading womens successes. Not about supporting a candidate who promotes the denigration of women by calling them political whores just because they are dems...but well...liberals and their hypocrisy and all that jazz~

Another day in the Oakland PD...

Also, its $180k based upon his highest rank achieved. We have the same deal in the military. Obviously, your average cop does not become a Lieutenant, let alone a Deputy Chief, so the average retirement package is considerably less generous.

Nuh-uh! It was too jumbled to hear if it was really him and you must be listening with tainted ears! For cripes sake! They are even willing to offer up Jerry's wife (poor dumb broad) as the originator of the comment!

Jerry will more than likely get his second chance at royally effing up California. As his campaign mantra suggests. He's at a point in his life now where he has the time to REALLY DO IT!
