Going from the worst micro managing no personal life supervisor with 100 percent turnover to a professional laid back supervisor who has zero turnover. 4 yrs of an internal auditor on roids and now I'm free.

good for you. i have a pretty good boss right now 2. Makes life a lot more enjoyable. Our company did a early retirement anyone over 55 with 10years service and the publisher of our department got offered it. I went to my boss and said for no extra money ill take on that slack now if you help me out after this recession is over. Sure enough he took the 26weeks and is retiring and we cant fill his position so yours truley with a Finance/Econ bsba and an MBA who's been an analyst for over 12 years and has 0 publishing experience will now be trained on how to be a publisher. How can i complain.. just got myself job security and going to learn new skills in the worst economy of my life.

When your making over 6 figures you really cant bitch about low end work.

I think it's awesome you just secured your job...even if it means more work right now. Eventually they will open recs back up and you will find yourself relieved of that duty, and have more experience to put on your resume.

Things are in a bit of upheaval in my house right now as far as jobs are concerned. My husbands company is shutting down 1 week a month until June, and then the entire month of June is a shutdown. The company is known to do this during downturns, but this is ridiculous and the last straw. As of now he is seriously looking for something else, and it couldn't come at a worse time. It's definitely an employers market out there.
